  17. <p>    He's always had a quick way with words, but William F.
  18. Buckley is now traveling at twice the speed of sound. The
  19. conservative columnist is the main draw for 100 wealthy
  20. tourists who have shelled out $39,000 each for an 83,343 mile
  21. round-the-world tour aboard the British Concorde. After taking
  22. off from New York City last week, they are listening to Buckley
  23. hold forth on politics, sailing and whatever strikes his fancy
  24. between stops in Acapulco, San Francisco, Hawaii, Sri Lanka,
  25. New Zealand, Tahiti, Britain, South Africa and Australia. Less
  26. well-off fans will not have to miss Buckley too much. He
  27. promises to fax his columns to his editors and broadcast his TV
  28. talk show Firing Line from Cape Town and Sydney. All in all,
  29. the haughty Buckley seems to enjoy being literally high and
  30. mighty. On the fifth day of the supersonic tour, said a
  31. spokesman, "I hear Bill has begun to mingle with the
  32. passengers."
